I’m Emanuele Pizzolorusso, an Helsinki based designer who loves turning complex problems into fun, engaging solutions.
For over a decade, running my own design studio has been at the core of my professional life. I’ve worked on many projects across different industries, often teaming up with people from diverse backgrounds and skills. Some of these projects have received international recognition and awards.
I’ve taken projects from early research and idea development all the way to physical product, guiding every step along the way. My approach is T-shaped: I balance big-picture strategic thinking with practical, hands-on prototyping, testing, and execution.
As a person, I’m curious and enjoy solving problems by finding smart, fun solutions. I’m sociable and empathetic, always trying to understand the end users so I can create work that truly fits their needs.

My Experience.
-
Translating user experiences into innovative ideas for products, using a user-centered approach.
-
This is the core of my expertise: transforming ideas into engaging, appealing products. Taking care of everything from initial sketches to physical mockups, model testing, and final prototypes.
-
While not my primary focus, I have learned to manage the consistent alignment of products and brand tone. This can include coordinating imagery, colors, typography, and creating logos.
-
User Centered Design has been a part of my work as a designer for physical products. Recently, I’ve been diving deeper through a more systematic study of the discipline.
Beyond Work.
Outside of design, I enjoy traveling, reading, and constantly learning new things from fields like science, economics, and emerging tech. I’m crazy about tennis and am a certified coach, having taught the sport at various points in my life.
